We usually stay after the meeting and visit on the church playground, if the weather is nice.

Talk, learn, and enjoy in the company of other mothers who embrace the philosophy of gentle parenting. Each month our meeting will be centered around a particular topic. However, we invite all questions and concerns regarding the parenting of your toddler.


Our upcoming toddler meetings:


  1. January 26th - “Keeping the Love Alive” How do you continue to nurture your relationship with your partner while also being a mother?

  2. February 23rd - “Nutrition for Toddlers” Ideas for healthy snacks and meals, and also discussion of the book “Help! My Child Won’t Eat!” by Dr. Carlos Gonzales

  3. March 23rd - “I’m Awake, You’re Awake!” How to handle the challenges of night nursing.

  4. April 27th - “It Works for Us” Why nurse beyond a year? and responding to criticism when we choose to do so.

  5. May 25th - “Adventures in Gentle Discipline” How to put into practice LLL’s philosophy of loving guidance.

  6. June 22nd - “The Family Grows” Nursing while pregnant, tandem nursing, and siblings without rivalry. 

  7. July 27th - “Mothercare” How to find fulfillment as a mom while also meeting your family’s needs.  

  8. August 24th - “Controlling the Chaos” Home organization ideas and tips for living on less. 

  9. September 28th - “Mommy, read me a story!” Our discussion of books and reading for young children includes bringing a few favorites to share.

  10. October 26th - “Your Spirited Child” Spirited children can be more challenging. We’ll discuss Mary Sheedy Kurcinka’s book and how we can use her ideas to help us mother our spirited children.

  11. November 30th - “Managing Holiday Stress” We talk about how to keep LLL’s philosophy of  ‘people before things’ in mind as we go into the holiday season.
